Microdermabrasion

• Microdermabrasion is a simple, straight forward, non-invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores and erases fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars.
• Microdermabrasion is a skin resurfacing treatment that works by gently abrading the top layer of the skin. Leaving a new, fresh layer underneath.
• Microdermabrasion works best as a series of treatments that should be spaced a week apart with longer periods of time in between as the program progresses. After the initial series, maintenance treatments are recommended. The average treatment lasts 60 minutes. That includes a deep cleaning of the face before microderm and a facial following the treatment.

What to expect right after treatment:
All skins respond differently. Some skins are pink, some are reddish in spots, and some just show a healthy, even color. Most color subsides within the first four hours, although some areas can remain pink for 24 to 48 hours. This could be in a spot area, most likely on the cheeks.

Treatment tips:
We advise all clients to change to a fresh pillow case. A fresh skin needs a fresh pillow case. If possible wait 24 hours before applying makeup. If not, wait as long as possible and always apply a barrier like a day cream first, so makeup is not drawn into fresh, open pores.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Especially during the first 3 to 4 days after treatment. The treatment affectes the water level of the skin and its ability to hold moisture.
